Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. The money she earned came from an allowance for students and went off on a part-time job to supplement her budget. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents weren't as good as those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other routes she could choose. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. But she quit shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. The singer was the primary vocalist in The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and the year 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her solo debut album Diva, which was released in 1992. This album became a huge achievement as well as selling and critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera, a collection four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album in conjunction with her art work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I'll Let You Go."
