Maureen FitzSimons's early accomplishments in the arts of performing, and which are now known by the name of Maureen O'Hara, would certainly be a qualifier for her place in the "child prodigy" category. A child of Irish roots, surrounded as she was by gifted parents and family members did this naturally.
